Halo is an urban public art and architectural installation designed as a luminous landmark for the civic waterfront in Oslo. Developed by StudioCloud.form, the structure operates as a communal beacon that draws residents and visitors together into shared dialogue. The circular, suspended ring geometry floats gently above a circular timber seating amphitheater. By integrating responsive optical elements, indirect ambient lighting, and reflective materiality, Halo responds subtly to Nordic daylight variations, evening mist, and pedestrian movement below. The project demonstrates how minimal architectural interventions can activate underutilized public plazas, providing sheltered gathering zones, poetic nighttime illumination, and an iconic sense of place in urban Norway.
